Project development consultant

David Miller is a Ballarat-based consultant in project development and management. He studied politics and sociology at the Ballarat College of Advanced Education (now Federation University Australia) and urban studies at Swinburne Institute in Melbourne.

David was employed as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Steve Bracks, Premier of Victoria. Prior to this he worked for 10 years for the City of Ballarat, initially as Director of Economic Development, then subsequently as General Manager, City and Cultural Development.

David is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ballarat Health Services and serves on the Victorian Government’s Central Highlands Regional Partnership. He is also a member of the Regional Development Australia (RDA) Grampians Region Committee which advises the Federal Government on regional development opportunities. He is also a member of the Board of the Biennale of Australian Art, the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery Association, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Ballarat Arts Foundation, Ballarat Arts Alive, the Ballarat Old Colonists’ Association and the Melbourne Football Club.
