M.A.D.E for Fun
Monday, April 7 - Thursday, April 17 2014
10am - 5pm daily
M.A.D.E's school holiday activities are ideal for children aged 4 -12 years. This season's theme is Letters and Words and the program features:
Print and Press Craft Activity
Using an assortment of stencils, plates and cut-outs, children can imprint, emboss and decorate a customised collage. Finding inspiration in the Letters and Words theme, they can compose some text or create a colourful art piece to be photographed and included in M.A.D.E’s digital display for all to see.
At M.A.D.E, traditional story time has been re-imagined for the digital screen with interactive animations. These holidays, watch as the story takes on a life of its own, with the audience contributing to the direction of the tale. By choosing the words and helping to construct the story young learners will find that this is a little bit more than just sitting on the floor.
Self-guided Discovery Worksheet
School holiday visitors are challenged to find certain objects in the exhibition using M.A.D.E’s Discovery Worksheet as a guide. This time around, they’ll be asked to locate the many different examples of fonts and styles of writing on display. Children will enjoy this seek and find activity, as will some parents who can’t help but find themselves joining in.
Cafe' M is offering a $5 cookie and juice-box special for the duration of the holidays and each participant who completes the program can add their name to the draw for a chance to win one of three prize packs containing a selections books, toys and games from the M.A.D.E gift shop.
